The Suzuki DF40A is equipped with a reliable 941 cc DOHC fuel system, with 3 and 12 inline valves. It is the only outboard in its class with an oil-bath timing chain and automatic valve clearance adjustment. Therefore, it requires no periodic maintenance, increasing reliability and reducing operating costs.
The air intake system is optimized to achieve maximum efficiency at the highest engine rpm range. Suzuki engineers have also focused on improving mechanical efficiency: each component has been analyzed and redesigned to minimize potential defects.
This outboard engine features advanced sequential multi-point electronic fuel injection. This system collects data from a series of sensors located at key points on the engine, processes it, and calculates the optimal amount of air and fuel needed for starting. All of this translates into immediate starts, maximum efficiency, excellent fuel consumption, and reduced emissions.
