The Suzuki DF25A is powered by a 490 cc three-cylinder engine and is the lightest outboard in its class. It is also the first to feature rocker arms with rollers using an offset crankshaft. By positioning it slightly offset from the cylinder, lateral pressure on the cylinder is reduced, significantly increasing operational efficiency.
The new engine hood design with a direct air intake system offers better ventilation and greater power delivery. To help reduce temperature inside the hood, the rotating flywheel pushes hot air outward through a vent.
The battery-free fuel injection system delivers the same performance as a classic system, providing faster starts, smoother operation, and greater acceleration in all situations. Manual starting requires minimal effort from the user, made possible by the two decompression devices located on the camshaft.
