The Suzuki DF140B is a mechanically controlled outboard with a modern, aerodynamic design, capable of blending seamlessly with the lines of any boat on which it is installed. The redesigned grille features an air intake system that improves airflow and the separation of atomized water.
The DF140B is equipped with a driveshaft offset from the crankshaft, allowing a first reduction between the crankshaft and the driveshaft and a second reduction between the driveshaft and the gearbox inside the lower unit. This mechanism allows the use of large-diameter propellers to fully exploit the engine’s propulsive efficiency. It also shifts the center of gravity forward, providing better balance, reduced vibration, and greater stability while underway.
The oxygen sensor can adjust the air/fuel ratio by monitoring the amount of air present in the exhaust gases, regardless of engine rpm. This ensures better-controlled emissions and greater environmental friendliness.
